Six tracks in six days for 888Racing finished with a win on a Saturday where stable horses raced 400km apart.

On Wednesday an attempt to gain Black Type for the sprinting mare Apres La Mer just missed but she showed she wasn’t out of place in that company on Geelong Cup Day.

Come Friday night Rattle And Bang contested Moonee Valley’s Country Sprint final after qualifying with an unlucky second at Cranbourne a fortnight before. The BM80 Final at 1200m,a distance he’d previously struggled at,was a fair task and when predicted heavy rain failed to arrive for a horse who had needed it Soft to Heavy a Good 3 seemed to put an end to his chances. But after being pestered up front Rattle And Bang kicked off the bend and looked to have a winning break but was snaffled up late to run a gutsy second. It was a PB for the tough gelding who had raced three weeks in a row.

On Saturday the truck headed to St.Arnaud and the float to Moe.Owner Hugh had two horses,The Javelin and Orrong Road, run second 400 km’s apart while new arrival Scoria Star won the last at St Arnaud giving the new connections an instant return and a weekend to enjoy their win.

The hard working Remi Tremsal also rode a double at St.Arnaud winning for the stables Gav Murphy and his horse Mandragorian then finishing off on Scoria Star.

Six tracks in six days with more highs than lows and reward for the investment of owners and satisfaction for our hard working staff.
