Four time Metro winning mare Apres La Mer continues to show good form,courage and determination for her owner Hugh Wallace-Smith and 888 Racing.

   Since winning the last Metro race of 2021 in a BM64 at Moonee Valley the Reward For Effort 6yo has raced thirteen times from 1000m-1400m,at all metro tracks,in strong provincial fields and,in her last two starts,competing at Stakes level narrowly missing Black Type on the Geelong Cup card on Wednesday.

  Owner Hugh Wallace-Smith has been a major backer of the stable in recent years and to see the pride he has in his bonny mare on Wednesday after being passed a Silver Plate trophy from a recent Metro win shows what racing is all about.

  As well as connections 888Racing’s hard working staff from Dean to his wife Michelle,daughter Taylah,Remi,Angela and co.a horse such as Apres La Mer puts on display the care and top class preparation they present every day rain,hail or shine.
