ICYMI - World of Hope Makes It 3 from 5 at Cranbourne - WATCH
May 23, 2016
Promising filly World of Hope returned to racing in emphatic fashion at Cranbourne on Friday night, with a dominant display against the older horses over the 1000m. Stepping out for just her fifth career starts the daughter of Spinning World made it three wins with a powerful finish for jockey Beau Mertens. It wasn't all smooth sailing for the striking chestnut, proving a handful for trainer Dean Binaisse in the pre parade and becoming agitated in the gates as the field was ready to go, before a pre race vet check gave her the all clear to line up. 'Hope' did what good horses do, she overcame those obstacles before getting the job done in what can only be described as dominant win against her older more seasoned rivals.
'She proved a real handful to saddle up tonight and I thought she might have run her race before the gates opened. But I think we saw tonight just how good she might be' Said an ecstatic Dean Binaisse after the win.
'She did a lot wrong in the run again tonight and still won with ease. Once the penny drops and she learns to relax I think we might have a serious filly. She does need to learn to settle better though as we step up in class'
World of Hope was unlucky not win on debut after bombing the start and rattling home for a short half head second. After putting together two in a row Dean stepped the filly up to city company at Moonee Valley over the early Autumn, however she had no luck that night and was immediately put away to give her time to mature.
World of Hope hails from Toolooganvale Farm in Scone with 888 Racing currently leasing another chestnut filly reared off the same pastures, by Ad Valorem.
